Hello all,
I once compiled my project by XCode and got a terrible crash, then my Mac got a terrible crash which I restart it for three times to get it recover from die. Then all my three administrator users changed to standard type user, which makes me die. As I can't change anything, start disk, installing new apps, adding new account...

I appreciate anyone who save me to relive!

Boot from your Mac OS X install CD/DVD by loading it into the drive, then holding down "C" while you power on. Once the installer loads, there will be a "Utilities" menu at the top of the screen. You will be able to check/repair the disc, reset master password and so on.

If this doesn't help you get up and running, then do an "Archive & Install" of your system, which will save all the users accounts and settings into an "archive" folder before wiping the system and reinstalling.

Thank you for the reply.

I tried the way you mentioned and changed password for root. But when I logged in as System Administrator(root), I can change account settings, but they will not stay. Even the root account is showed as standard account. I guess my system is badly sick and need to be erased and installed again. I have another disk who has 10.3.9 on it, the accounts on it showed and worked correctly.
