How to Correctly reformat?

I need help refomating ..

I did it myself 3 months ago and for some reason i'm missing Classic and only running Extended.

I used the software restore disks that came w/ my iBook to reformat.

I just crossed over from PC to Mac..If someone can help me out, i would greatly appreciate it.
 
Do you want classic? Extended is the format you want. If you want classic and X, then just reinstall with the disk that came with the system. Put the first install disk in and reboot holding the c key. If you want classic make sure you are using the correct restore cd first.

there is such thing as edit post!!
but yes it is STRONGLY advised that you install classic before X.

If you only run classic occasionaly you can run it off a cd (do a search for claasic and cd), it uses prefs from your home folder to save things like apple menu items etc... thats what i do, But i havent used claasic in over a year!
