How to disable IE from changing my internet setting?

IE always changes my internet setting.

It will changes my startup homepage and search homepage and it also automatcally changes my download folder.

IE is a very fucting program, under classic, it will automatically changes my proxy setting, which makes my computer can't connect to internet. why it just changes its setting but the system?
 
I don't experience any of these glitches (I don't use a proxy so can't comment on that one). Are you getting these errors all under Classic? If so, why aren't you running the X version of Explorer? If you are, I suggest trashing the prefs, the app and reinstall it.
