The contents of the Address Book in my Mac is consisting of the following development over a number of years:

- Office 2000 & Outlook in Windows 98
- - Starting to use synch with Nokia phones
- Office 2003 & Outlook in Windows XP
- Office 2007 & Outlook in Windows XP
- - Joining to Plaxo, continuing synching with Nokia phones
- Office 2008 & Entourage in Mac OS/X Leopard & Snow Leopard
- - Using Plaxo, continuing synching with Nokia phones
- - Had indications the Address Book was probably not correct
- MAC Mail
- - Using Plaxo etc.

I can use the address book, send mails etc. But it seems not to be working correctly with other applications than Mail.

I cannot copy the Address Book files for backup, get error message stopping the copy; the errors take place with the image files with the address cards.

How would I fix the Address Book, as it's file systems seems to be broken? Is there any program available?

To access Address Book Debugging Options, get TinkerTool from versiontracker.com, then go to Applications/Address Book: Enable diagnostic menu.

When you go back to Address Book, you'll see a new "Debug" menu which will give you options. You can at least start logging errors and find out more about what's wrong with your Address Book.

Let us know what happens!
