How to Recover Deleted Files?

My mother deleted (moved to trash, emptied trash) her entire iphoto picture library. Is there any way to get it back? It contained years of family photos.

If she wasn't backing up, you can try a recovery utility like Data Rescue. Going forward, get her set up with a backup solution and a little more awareness of where her data is located.

I tried the first way but it didn't work. Then i downloaded a photo recovery pro which helped my mom found most of pictures. It is quite helpful and effective.
