How to Reinstall OS x

I had a hard drive crash as per my last post.
I installed a new Drive and now need to install the OS, but dont have any disks.
How can i get them and anything i need to know about installing it and are there any key codes i need to have?

You can either search eBay for a disc that's specific to your Mac model, or buy a retail copy of OS X from Apple.

Once you have a disc, there is no serial number or activation or anything, just hold down the C key after the boot chime to boot from the disc, then follow the prompts to install.

You cannot boot a Mac from an OS that is older than your computer. If you buy a retail copy of MacOS X from a vendor other than Apple, then you must ensure that it is newer than the OS that shipped with your Mac.
