How to remove a contact from Entourage 2004?

riddle

A small thing that's driving me mad in Entourage 2004 for Mac:

Some of my co-workers' addresses have changed but Entourage is still defaulting to the old ones. How can I weed unwanted addresses out of my Entourage contacts?

When I go into "Address Book" in Entourage, the offending addresses don't show up in any of my contact lists, neither my own nor the enterprise-wide ones being picked up through LDAP or whatever. Apparently Entourage is matching against addresses from my e-mail history, and defaulting to the wrong ones.

Ideas? Thanks!

Aha, someone on another forum answered my question.

Under:

Entourage >Preferences > Mail and News Preferences > Compose > Recent Addresses

...there's an option to ignore recently used addresses when composing a message, or, better still for my purposes, a "Clear List" button for clearing the cache.

That should do the trick. It never would have occurred to me to look under the "Compose" options!
