How to reply with ">"

Hi,

On windows Outlook/OE, I was able to set to reply quoting the mail with ">" but in Mail, it is the straight vertical line. I haven't seen a way to set it to reply with ">". Please help me, I like it that way and not the straight vertical line.

Thanks

Mail just renders the email on the screen with a straight vertical line. I believe the email itself is quoted in the traditional way, using > marks. I believe Apple decided to turn it into a vertical line to make it easier to read.

I'm pretty sure that if you do reply to an email, and include quoted text, then although it appears with a straight vertical line in Apple Mail, other email readers will show the > marks.

''Isn't there a way for me to say what people will get.' - no.' - unless you know what e-mail app they're using and how they have it set up to show quotes.
