How to set kind/creator?

Hi all,

I was wondering how does on change the kind or creator for a file under OS X? I do everything on the unixy side of OSX but I have one classic application which I need to use and I am having a little problem with getting it to recognize documents. It works with plain text files and is expecting a file to have a kind of TEXT. However, everything I make in OS X has a kind of Document and the OS9 app does not like that. How would I go about changing the kind under OS X? It would be cool to be able to set the creator to but that is not as big of a deal.

I use a fantastic utility called XRay to change type/creator codes and many other properties of files.

It rocks and the shareware fee (if you decide to register) is only $10.
