Hp 2610 On Bonjour

I just bought an HP 2610 and tried to hook it up to a Base Station Extreme which is a satellite for another Base Station. When I use USB it works, but it was a nightmare (had to find new drivers, remove aoi folder from hp folder, ..) and is only seen by some of my mac's. When I try to hook it up using the network (ethernet port to the extreme) the setup finds it but hangs and then printing to it hangs. Has anyone made this work? It is very annoying because the Apple Store sells this.
 
"Only some of the Macs see it" sounds like you didn't turn off Distribute IP addresses on the second Airport Extreme/Express, which means you have two different subnets going.
 
I have it set up as a WDS slaved to the first. The Network tab is blank and the distribute ip addresses definitely NOT filled in. I do allow wireless clients on this base station, but since it is a WDS slave to the master one, I thought that was ok?
