A Austin Registered Oct 24, 2000 #1 My HP 8250i CD-RW drive (IDE) works perfectly under OS 8.6, but OS X Beta's System Profiler doesn't even show the drive as being installed. Does anyone have any idea whether or not this is likely to be remedied with the final release of OS X?

M macboy73 Member Dec 23, 2000 #2 probably. it's beta. no extra peripherals are supported. absolutely none. it's up to the manufacturer to make drivers and such.
