HP D145 & iMac

I am trying to get my HP D145 working as a Windows Printer...

Here is my config

Windows XP, D145 Shared

iMac, connecting through workgroup, but only shows the D145 Fax? Any ideas on how to make this work? I tried installing the D145 software on the mac, but it is looking for the printer to be directly connected, not shared...

Please let me know if any other has this wokring?

Hi There,

I had the same problem - the HP software only support direct connections via USB. The answer is to configure the printer as an HP Deskjet 900 Series using the GIMP drivers.

This works perfectly for printing, but you cant use the scanning etc etc.
