I have an HP Photosmart with an HP Jetdirect 380x wireless link to my network. My PCs can print fine to this printer.
However I am trying to setup my Mac to talk to the the wireless HP Jetdirect printserver so the Mac can print too. I just downloaded the latest HP driver for this for the Mac OS X, but when I run through the install, i get a message saying "Your system needs an Airport card to communicate with teh hp wireless print server". I know my Airport card works because I am already on the net (i.e. like wiriting this post).
Is it because I have an Airport Extremem?????
My setup is a LinkSys Wireless (802.11b) router hooked up to 2 Ethernet PCs and a wireless Laptop, plus my unhooked iMac G4
Any one else have luck with this setup?
My last resort could be to setup a shared printer in Windows, but I've not tried that thru a Mac nor do I even know if it works or want to do that anyway.
Many Thanks
Michael
