hppsc1300 asking for administrator id

i have got an HP PSC1300 printer which I am trying to reinstall
it does not like my administrator log in details. Can you please suggest why this is happening. I am certain that the details I am tryig are correct

Are you referring to the administrator logon on your Mac (in other words, your own username and password) or for the printer itself?
