please help i thought my filevault sparsebundle was my timemachine backups, and it was taking up 125gb of space.. so i deleted it, now when i try to log on it says "error opening this users filevault" and so i started it in command line and now i tried to run it in single user mode, but it won't let me type any letters when it is installing and it just wont work.. if you help me with this i will be soooooo grateful THANKS GUYS

i did the same thing deleted the bands folder out of the sparse bundle then switched of mac then unable to log in
i followed the post macosx.com/tech-support/mac/filevault-sparseimage-file-trashed/336493.html and was able to retreive the bands folder out of the system but took a while to work out how to get it back where it was ment to be
i didnt have another mac so i bought another hard drive $75 1tb seagate and installed it into my imac 20 inch to gain a bigger hard drive then i bought a carrier$55 to put the old mac hd in i installed the 2 apple discs on new drive
then downloaded ntsf-3g free trial to allow read-write of external drive
i cound not open sparsebundle until i got the bands folder into it
users-your file-right click-show package contents-then i draged the deleted bands file that i retrieved into it
once you do that go back to users-your file then click on your file.sparsebundle and enter your normal log in password once your file mounts on desktop you can get to the info pictures all items note i had to go right into find the folder holding pictures i.e 2008 photos 2009 2010 photos etc and pull the file ie 2008 and drag drop into iphoto otherwise it would be on the system but you couldnt see them
hope this helps as couldnt find any other info on the net.
