Internet Explorer 5.1.1 is now avalible in the software update.

What does it do? I just dl'ed it, and I only see a slightly faster boot time, but pages still load slowly. Fittingly, when i was about to switch back to IE it "terminated" itself, now that's intelligent software. Finally Bill Gates has put some function into his software.

it also looks like it's using core graphics antialiasing for its ui rather than quickdraw.

I wish that were true but it isn't. It's all quickdraw. The anti-aliasing is internal to flash which means it's effectively a triple buffer.
