I feel stupid asking this question, simple answer?

Hi there. I'm running OS X 10.4.6 on a powerbook G4.
Ya know how when you shut down and restart, your hard drive icon automatically goes to the top right of your desktop? And the other icons you can move around and they will stay put(even when u restart), except for the program ones...anyway: is there a way to "lock" the desktop, so I don't have to continually move the hard drive icon to where I want it?? Or is that asking too much? haha. I know it's silly. Thanks for any help. :)

Not exactly. :(

What you can do is go to the Finder preferences and set it not to display the hard disks on your desktop. Then you can make aliases to your hard disks and put those on your desktop instead. You can put the aliases anywhere you jolly well please, and they'll stay there like good little icons.
