Hi,
I have two computers. On G4/867Mhz and one G3/333Mhz Bronze. Although my PB is so slow I mostly use that one from the bed or sofa. My dream is to be able to use my PB as a monitor and keyboard only and then use the power from the G4, but I guess thats not possible :(

But I have a dream :) So IF there is a sweet solution please let me know!
 
what is not so good? The performance? You should remember you are using a wireless lan connection which has max. 1mb/sec..
 
Well yes the performance. And who said I use wireless lan?? I use Ethernet 10/100 connection. (I think you mean 11Mbt/s.)

I thought you are talking about wireless lan since you said you are sitting on the sofa or in the bed... My mistake. Anyway, 11Mbit/sec are actually about 1mb/sec.
If you are using 100mbit I am surprised you have performance issues. I am using rdc (remote desktop client) with my WinXP box and when I plug the 100mbit lan it feels like I am sitting behind the peecee box. What exactly is it your are doing so the performance seems weak?
 
Using RD will never give the same speed as working on the same machine. Mouse moves slower, not the same colours etc. :(
 
Exactly ;) BUT it should not be a TO big of a thing to make for a good programer I think, but maybe it's only me who wants a solution like this :(
 
Try VNC (osxVNC) I use it from outside my LAN from my iBook to my iMac, and with the settings tuned well you can only tell the background image is poorer quality but the Aqua interface looks great and is /fast/.
 
Thanks! Much faster the RD :) Still not 100% but I think this is the best a LAN solution can do. I think a FW or maybe even a USB solution could make it 100% though?

Also do you know if the Chicken client can change the cursor to a normal one and not the small cross?
