I lost Drag and Drop

After installing 10.2.3 I no longer can Drag and Drop in the finder. Is there a Preference that i need to delete? I need help, I don't want to reinstall from scratch.

Any ideas...


Oh, I have a 800mhz G4 Powerbook with 512ram
 
Try this and see if it helps:
home>Library>Preferences>

trash the
com.apple.finder.plist

log out, then log back in. (or restart). See if that corrected the problem.
 
I should have mentioned that the DD on my account and the ROOT account is not working. The main Library>Prefs doesnot have a finder preference. Does this matter?
