i need help please anyone

I brought a new intel macbook pro.....everything is great but there only two things i can do....download a proper window media player app. so i can open videos from my fav site...and secondly i need a program that can convert daa. files to mp3s....please anyone help!!!!!!!!!

Your best option for playing back Windows Media files is Microsoft's "Flip4Mac," which will let you play windows media files using Quicktime player (and it also has a plug-in for browsers, too.

i try that but the software doesn't work for intel base macs...thank you for your advice...

Have you tried VLC for playing your vidoe, it copes with most kinds of files.

For converting to mp3 try Switch from http://www.nch.com.au/switch it coverts many types of audio.

He meant .daa-files as in compressed files that need unpacking. If StuffIt Expander can't unpack these, no-one can. ... And just so you know: There _are_ Windows Media files that _can't_ be read on Macs. For example everything DRM-protected. Also WMV3 in avi-containers are trouble.

But yes VLC will help for many videofiles, StuffIt Expander for unpacking many compressed files.
