goddamnit, my clock in the menu bar is now displaying in a 24 hour mode. Why'd that all of a sudden happen? i could have sworn it used to be a 12 hour clock since just the other day. What did i do? what gives? thanks - Ry

By the way, I was running the 10.2 beta the other day and it has spring loaded folders ( i know everyone was wanting that) :)

Proof your 10.2 test by posting the aboutbox and/or
pictures of the springloaded folders and other features :o

Why else should we believe you?

ryan, here is the answer to your original question. next time post fix it questions in osx section and look around a little to be sure your question isn't already answered. the thread i pointed you to was posted a day or so before you asked. (this will also cut down on the peanut gallery)(maybe:D )

To get rid of 24 hour time, go to
System Prerfences > International.

Click the "Time" tab. Set it to 12 hour.

Why Apple decided to put that there baffles me. It clearly belongs in "Date & Time".

yes, i'm sure you've never ever done it in your entire life

Is that the point here? You're touting a server that has illegal materials, and so it's a moot point whether I've pirated in my life or not.

so ryan are you ever going to stop and say thanks for the help with fixing your clock or is that just something else you are entitled to and don't have to give anything in return to get?

people who don't say thanks often don't get helped a second time - next time it might be something important. think about it.

you can't have access to the server, its private. and yeah, thanks for the clock help, i think you need to calm down a bit though, its just the freakin' clock, its not like you donated an organ to me. in return i gave you 10.2 confirmation anyway, so say thanks for that!

i didn't ask you for confirmation of anything other than that the clock fix worked. i could care less about 10.2 at this point in time. next time a problem is so trivial that you don't feel it is worth acknowledging help, just fix it yourself. all i asked for was some common courtesy. until myself and wdw came along, everyone was ignoring your question and harrassing you about being a liar (which was also pretty uncalled for if i do say so). we tried to help and you were too busy geeking to care.

btw - you're welcome:)

Ryanlang: Heh, no offense, but there are plenty of other places to get information and screenshots about Mac OS X 10.2, like www.thinksecret.com or www.appleinsider.com . So it's not like we were getting extra-super-duper-special information from you.

And, for the record Ed, I was pointing out that this is pirating (unless of course Ryanlang is part of the ADC that gets seeds, in which case he wouldn't have needed to resort to Hotline, so it was pirating, Q.E.D), and it was totally called for. Just making sure you're not referring to me. :D

no simx i wasn't referring to you. you never accused him of being a liar, just piracy;)
i would have thought you caught my subtle agreement with you when i said what i did about entitlement which is something usually shared by thieves of all kinds. i would guess bill gates has a very strong sense of entitlement as well.

and my apologies to serpicolugnut who should have been given credit for wanting to help here instead of wdw. i must have gotten my threads mixed up.
