i need serious help! pc to mac ??? extension

i have adobe photohsop for the pc. i heard through the grapevine that i can change the extension to make it work for mac. is this true? or is there anything i can do to make this pc disc work for my mac? thanks.
 
Uh.... First of all..... Macs can read PC discs just fine, usually. If you are inserting the CD and an icon doesn't pop up on your desktop, something's up...

Secondly.... unless Adobe has sold you a hybrid CD with both Mac AND Windows versions on the same disc... no, you can't just change the extension on the app, and make it work on a Mac. Mac programs are completely different from Windows, and so, really, you need to get the Mac version. (with the exception of things made in Java, and some unix apps, but that's a whole other story)

Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news. Unless both versions are on the CD.... You need to go out and buy it.

Yeah, definitely no way that will work. That is absurd. You need to get the Mac version.
