iBlog vs Blogger

I'm just looking for something simple to throw up a little personal blog/diary of whatever. I've used xoops and phpnuke for bigger projects but don't want all the extras and stuff. I kind of like the iBlog dashboard GUI that is on your desktop offline. I also like the audio blog of blogger.

Has anyone used either of these, and if so, what are your thoughts on them?

I've messed around with Blogger a bit. It's a pretty nice setup, though if you want to have multiple pages their template system and they way they upload files can be a pain to design around. For a simple log I would imagine it would work well. They have some nice templates.

That iBlog seems pretty neat, I'm downloading that now.

I trashed iBlog soon after getting it, just too buggy and a pain in the butt to make it standards-compliant. Blogger works reasonably well, on your own site that is (ftp access required). It's also highly standards compliant and customizable (styles).

Since Blogger is free and iBlog isn't, I'd definitely choose Blogger first.

You can use MacJournal to write blogger entries from your desktop. You can also email your entries in. :D I vote for blogger.com as I have like three accounts there!

Blooger is pretty good. I have to use it for uni as a sort of progress journal. I've not used iBlog, but feel no need to check it out as Blogger does the job.
