Hello,
I bought my ibook G4 a week ago or so. From the second day of usage it has shows this weird problem: When I reboot the laptop, it freezes and stays in an undefined state until the battery is fully charged. The second that the battery light turn green, I press the start button and the laptop starts normaly. Ofcourse every open application is lost, hence its clear that its not a fast "restart" like.. when you install an applications or something. The weird thing is that the mouse light, I bought a macally USB dotmouse with it, is shining which means that the ibook is not really "closed". Hmm now that I am thinking of.. I am almost sure that I even listen the sound that makes the lapt when it starts, but I'm not 100% sure.
I contact with apple support, and they told me to send it to them. They have no support center hereby.. This operation will cost me from 5 to 10 days (not more than 5 I hope) without the NEW ibook.
This is a serious problem for me cause I use this laptop for my work. I have transfer lots of important data into it.
Does anyone else had the same problem? Could this be cause by some weird/false configuration error ? Is it for sure a hardware error?
My battery last 4,50 hours.. so.. its almost 5. Should be ok, I followed the instructions that I found with the ibook..
thank you.
