iBook battery doesn't charge

I bought iBook G3 yesterday.
When the battery was 4% charged i used the AC power.
After 12 hours my battery was 4% charged.
I used the reset buttons (option-control-shift and power, ihave taken off the battery then I charged and it was 4%.
Any solutions?

yeah, take that sucker back. You may have gotten a dead battery, or not new battery =/

My first charge was ok but when I charged the second time ................
probably it's not a battery problem
Probably I need a battery reset software but apple doesn't have one for iBook 16 VRAM!!!!!!!!!

You can't 'reset' you battery. It is quite obviously faulty, just take it back and get a nice shiny new one, problem solved.
