iBook G4 crashes

Hello, My iBook G4 running Panther keeps crashing when I turn it on. Occaisionally it fully loads the desktop but crashes shortly afterwards. Following the Mac Help instructions i repaired file permissions using the Disk Utility. This had no effect. I have tried to boot from the install DVD to repair run the Disk Utility from there to repair the disk, but it usually crashes while booting, or shortly afterwards.

I suspect that the problem may be physical. Moving it whilst it is loading sometimes causes it to crash in the event the desktop loaded well.

I would take it to an expert, but I live in a remote city in Peru, and Macs are rarely heard of and never seen.

Sounds to me like something similar to how many of the iBook G3's failed -- they had a flawed attachment design for the video chip. Over time, as the chip would heat up and cool down, it would start to separate itself from the logic board so tilting the screen or even moving the computer around would cause a slight "twisting" or "tweaking" of the logic board causing a connection failure at the video chip and resulting in crazy lines on the screen and ultimately a reboot.
