I have an iBook G4 and its started to continually freeze on me. At first I would be able to turn it on and use it for a few minutes before it became unresponsive, then I could turn it on but once it got to the desktop I couldn't click on anything, now I can still turn it on but it only gets to the blue screen before the "Apple is loading" box popped up.
I have done a fsck -fy in single user mode until the message "The volume MacintoshTiger HD appears to be ok." but it still won't load properly.
Following advice on another forum, I took the battery out a then turned it on and it loaded and worked fine until I tried to put the battery back in. Then it froze. Unfortunately at this time I can't continue to run it on outlet power as my power adapter is faulty and periodically turns off.
Any help would be appreciated.
