iBook G4 Random Shut-Downs

Hey everyone,

My fiancée's computer has started doing something funky. Several weeks ago, we had to send in her iBook G4 to have the hard drive and VRAM replaced. Since it returned, it's started randomly shutting down after sitting on a charger (either hers or mine). The computer runs fine while plugged in, and doesn't randomly shut-down at particularly predictable times.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Achates

As I understand, it works fine while being charged ?

If it restarts randomly while working on batteries, most likely the battery is damaged (not discharged quickly as the computer would tell you so) and stops providing power randomly. If so, have the battery checked / replaced.

Good luck, Kees
