hi all,

My battery could not hold charge anymore, and i sent it to this guy who can change the "inside" of the battery into fresh ones. what he did was he use a knife and cut open the battery and replace whatever that is inside into fresh ones

now, my problem is the battery is working but its always not showing the correct amount of power in the icon. it always goes from 96% and then suddenly it just becomes 0%. when it charges, it charges to 6%, and then suddenly its 100%

I tried the fully drain the battery and recharge to 100%, reset the PRAM and PMU but its still the same.

what esle can i do?

uh... buy a real battery? I think these are fairly sophisticated things and your "guy" sounds kind of unsophisticated.

but so far this guy had repaired many batteries from mac with happy customers.

he just dunno how to reset the memory for the battery in the computer

anyone know what esle can i do?

I would ask him to try it out on his own computer, to see if its's your computer or battery's problem, if the battery is the problem, buy a new battery.

I just have to say I thought of your guy using a 6-inch hunting knife, smoking a cigarette, and playing with his lighter incandescently as if he were in disagreement with the thought of existence.

This is not my type of person to do battery-change deals with. Your battery isn't working because it's got some after-market cells packed in it via hunting knife.

:D
