ibook memory upgrade

how you do it? anybody buys a ram module from shop, opens your ibook and plugs it on your own? i consider whether i will crash the machine if i open on my own without guidance.
 
Turn the iBook off, and close it. Flip it so you can see the underside. Remove your battery. Flip it back over and open the lid. Look for the two flat plastic tabs on the top row of the keyboard (white dual USB models). The left side one is directly in between the ESC and F1 keys. The rightside is directly inbetween the F11 and F12 keys. Using your fingers, pull both tabs down towards the second rows of keys (~, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.). While holding the tabs down, gently lift the top of the keyboard up. The bottom will slide out of notches, then just fold over on top of the palm rest. Be carefull not to overextend the cable attaching the keybord to the computer. Viola, you now have access to the RAM slot and Airport card slot. Just reverse the procedures above to reinstall the keyboard.
