When my ibook goes to sleep while the screensaver is on, the machine locks up. Nothing happens after 30 minutes of watching the colored circle spin round, and hearing the hard disk tick every few minutes.
The easy answer would be to disable either, but I need the security of ascreensaver, and the power saving of sleep mode.
