I was waiting for a web page to load when my Ibook screen went black as if it powered down. When i tried to turn it on nothing happened. This was odd because the power cord was in, so I changed the outlet I was using and it made no difference. I have never had any problems with this computer and saw nothing strange as far as colored screens/ error messages etc. I did recently buy a new off brand power cord from a store that stocks macs. They assured me it was compatible, and it's been working as far as keeping the computer charged. I'm hoping this isn't really the end for my computer because I don't really have the cash for a new one. any ideas what it might be? It's an I book G4 that I bought in 2005.
