i'm considering buying an ibook G4 with an airport extreme.
i need this laptop mainly for working in my college, so it needs to be able to connect to the wireless network there. should airport extreme work or just fine or are there any matters to consider?

regards

It should work just fine.

For my school (CSUN), I had to register the Machine Address Code (MAC) before I could have access to the college's network.

I have used airport extreme in many locations (airports , hotels, McDonalds) and it has worked great. Much more stable than windows xp - which has given me many problems, esp with maintaining a connection.

iBook and titanium PB with airport extreme

nice! i'm all set then! :D
i'll probably have to register the MAC on my school too, but that's fine.

yea airport or regular wireless card, you should have no problems connecting to the network. I use the regular Airport card and connect to Airport, Linksys, Dlink with no problems.
