iChat and 2 screen names?

Has there been any rumors of addling this feature into the next iChat? I noticed the latest PC AIM allows linking multiple screen names. This would be a worthwhile addition.
 
Nope. Haven't heard any such rumours. But: The tab in iChat preferences is called 'accounts', so... :)

yeah it works with mac.com screen names, you have to set up the .mac screen name under AIM-libgaim when you enter into Adium. Also, libgaim only runs on Panther. So if you don't have panther, you cannot use a .mac screen name
 
Installed it (an alpha of 2.0), configured it, quit it, trashed it. Its interface is just too, hmm, 'ugly' might be the word I'm looking for. But I tend to 'awkward'. I just don't like these 'triangles' and 'groups' things.

What _I_ would love: iChat with one-window interface like the Finder, iTunes etc.: In the left pane, you'd have the buddies, in the right you'd have the chat. Clicking a buddy automatically opens the chatpane (even if there is none active). Quite easy and straight-forward. Wonder why Apple hasn't done it yet.
 
Because people like being able to see multiple chat windows at the same time?

There already is a piece of software that does what you're describing... it's called GameRanger.
