iChat and Bonjour

We have an iMac and an iMacG5 both running Tiger, and no IM server. I want to be able to send instant messages between the two computers using iChat and Bonjour over an 802.11g WiFi net.

I believe I have everything set correctly and identically on the two machines. I have verified that Port 5298 is open on both machines.

On the iMac, iStumbler reports that nine services including iChat AV are open for Bonjour on the iMac. It reports for the iMac G5 that File Transfer, Workgroup Manager, Secure Shell, and Secure File Sharing are available but not iChat AV.

On the G5, iStumbler reports that those services are available plus iChat AV. But on the G5, iStumbler doesn't see the iMac at all.

The above is what iStumbler is reporting right now. At other times it has reported other things.

In any case, the Bonjour Buddy Lists are blank on both machines. Occasionally as I have been fooling around with settings the G5 has shown up on the iMac's Buddy List, but when I send an IM it is not accepted.

I'm wondering if the problem could lie with the router, which is a D-Link DI-624.
