Hi
My Dad and I have been chatting successfully over Skype for some while so I thought it only right to try and do the same with iChat AV.
However we cannot get it to work! I've changed all my port settings to the ones Apple recommend and have done the same on my Dad's machine.
The following message appears after trying to connect:
"There was a communication error during your chat.
iChat encountered errors while communicating with participants in this chat. You can send details about the problems to Apple to help improve future versions of iChat."
I am running Tiger 10.4.8 on an iMac G5 1.8 GHz with 1Gb RAM and he is running Tiger 10.4.8 on an iMac G4 1.25GHz with 768 RAM.
Both machines are running iChat 3.1.6 (v441)
We both use the same ISP - Nildram which I pay for. Could this be the problem? I can't understand that it could be the answer as Skype works so well.
