iChat troubles

Ever since I reinstalled OSX the other day, iChat wont work. I tried reistalling iChat, trashing the old one, and even installing iChat AV and the same problem keeps happeneing: I click on one of my buddies names, and the chat window blows up to maximun vertical size(see figure 1) and I cant type in it no matter what I do, like resizing it or whatever. My cursor won't even appear where you're supposed to type. There are some system iChat files in CORE SERVICES and PRIVATE FRAMEWORKS that my system won't allow me to delete, so I haven't bothered to change permissions on these files so I could trash them. Any idea's?:o
 
Do you wanna know how to delete these files?

I sometimes have problems in deleting files from my OSX.
If this happens I reboot to OS9 and I can delete all the
protected files from the OSX folder/desktop....

No I didn't.
The files I deleted weren't parts of an installed programm....
