Idvd 4.0.1 Unexpectedly Quitting

On trying to burn a DVD using iDVD 4.0.1 from an mpeg4 movie the application unexpectedly quits. I am using a Powermac G5 dual (2.5GHz) processor with 2.5 GB RAM and Mac OS 10.3.9.

I did an extended Apple Hardware test and confirmed that all Hardware components is working.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
 
Just because it quits unexpectedly, doesn't mean the burn failed. Have you tried the DVD in a DVD player to see if your movie is there? I have this happen more often than not when I use iMovie and 80% of the time the movie is fine.

All I can tell you is try again if your movie doesn't come out correctly on the DVD. Apple probably won't fix this problem as iLife '05 is the solution to iDVD 4's problems. I have heard, however, that even iDVD 5 has issues. That's why I'm waiting for 6 to come out. I can put up with the errors all the time with an 80% success rate on burns.
