Idvd: How Long?

Hi, guys.

I'm using iDVD to burn some old football games I had on VHS. I captured the video with iMovie, then edited out all of the commericals to get a movie that was about 2 hours long.

When I imported it to iDVD, I got a message saying that the movie was too big.

It's right at 2 hours. Can I somehow compress the video when going between iMovie and iDVD? Honestly, I don't want to do that. I don't want to lose quality.

How long can a movie be and still be burned to a DVD with iDVD?

I think iDVD will burn up to 2 hours on a DVD. I don't know what version you have, so check Preferences to look for encoding options.

Your video may be just slightly too big. Can you cut out a bit more or divide it into two projects?

Have you tried switching to "Best Quality" in the Project -> Project Info menu?

You could also use a dual layer disk if your computer has the capability.
