Hi,

My sister got the DVDs of the LOST season 1 and I decided to
rip the episodes to make all of the episodes available on 2 dvds.
So I now have a bunch of AVI files (around 300 Mo each) and wanted to use iDVD for a cool presentation of the episodes.
I am really not an expert in this domain but I couldn't explain why when I import a single episode, iDVD mention a size of 2,8 Go for the files (whereas they take 300Mo on the disk).
As anyone an explanation and/or a guidelines?

Thanks by advance

Make sure you don't violate any copyrights, btw. ... Technically, if you "rip" the DVD episodes to MPEG-4 or XviD or DivX, you compress them, losing quality/resolution/bandwidth. You can put these new, 300 MB episodes on DVD as _files_ so they'll keep their size, but if you want to put them on a DVD as _video_, they have to be rescaled, retranscoded to the original MPEG-2, which takes up more space.
