If you are a fairly experienced mac'er, would OS X confuse a lot?

welcome aboard RPS !! and i hope your dad joins in the fun before long as well.

do us all a favor though, change your sig to give a real description of your imac. There are no "piece of sh*t" imacs, just some that are more advanced than others. each one did/does a great job for what it was intended. besides, even the oldest imacs have great resell value.

(and on a more serious note - we really don't allow the word sh*t to be fully spelled out on the site;) )
 
Uh.. I really hate to say this, cause I really do know something about handling a mac, but let me put it this way, about the real description:

So ... where do I check my specs?
 
start with system profiler in os 9. that should tell you how many mhz your processor is. is it a slot loader or a tray cd? i think all the slot loaders are nice mac-chines.
 
Ok I've setup my sig. and I have a slot-loader. Ok it isn't that bad, I just hate it when sometimes it runs extremely slow. Thanks for the tip btw :)
