Illustrator X gone GM yet???

Is there a difference between Illustrator X and Illustrator 10? I have Illustrator 10 (the real version) but it won't install on my comp. because I only have X installed, and it looks for a 'Startup Folder' to put files in. Grr!

X and 10 are the same but I like using "X" better ;)

I too have the very early beta version of Illustrator X....just try to see how it works. Yes I too did encounter installation problem under OS X. I had to boot back from 9.2 to do the installation.

The app....is pretty good on feature but very slow (due to all those debugging codes I think)

I really want to know when it's going to hit GM states because I may pay for the upgrade this time. This upgrade seems pretty solid. Unlike those previous sucky 6->7 (no new features, only new interface) or 8->9 (with tons of new bugs) upgrades....
