I have a brand new iMac with leopard. I tried to install windows xp with boot disk. However windows killed my hard disk and now nothing works. I tried using the install disks for leopard that came with my iMac but cant figure out how to install them. I read that i can reformat the hard disk under disk utility but cant find that option either. When the first menu comes up from the install disk to where to install leopard there are no options, almost like it cant even find a hard disk. I've tried holding C as it starts but that doesnt seem to help. Can anyone help me get my mac running again?

Were you using a Windows XP disc that had Service Pack 2 on it? That's a requirement.

Too boot from the installation disc, hold down the C key the moment you hear the startup chime and don't let it go until you know it's booting from the disc.

Once you've booted from the install disc, select the language (if it ask you for that) and then at the installation welcome screen go to the menu up top and under one of the selections you'll see a bunch of apps listed. One of them should be Disk Utility.
