I've got a problem, i'm using my old iMac G3 350 to listen music and i thought about one thing: Energy. I have 4 computers running all the time, and it's expensive =P But to the point - is there any way to turn of screen in iMac G3, but not putting it to sleep status? I want to have my iTunes running... It would help me alot, but i have no idea how to do it... or if that's possible.

Thanks in advance for all your replies. Hopefully there will be some way to turn it off ^^;

You could get something like WakeOnLAN. This way you could put the Mac to sleep while not listening to music but wake it up when you want to listen to music.

Thanks for reply, but i think that it's not what I wanted... The point is, i don't want it to be in the sleep status. My goal is to have the iMac on, all programs working, but to have the screen turned of... The problem here is, that in this iMac G3 with crt screen built-in there are no controls out of the box to switch it off...

When I'm reading this... it seems to be complicated :p Sorry

//EDIT

Woah, I've just found an option in System Preferences->Energy Saver, where i can put to sleep ONLY display without stoping all of processes :D Hopefully people with same problem will find it usefull :p
But thanks Satcomer :)

To Make it more clear System Preferences>Energy Saver>Set the "Put the display to sleep when the computer is inactive for:" for 1 Minute and the display will go to sleep after you dont touch the keyboard and mouse for 1 minute.
