iMac G5 boot problem

I have what seems to be a dead iMac G5. I can't get it to boot at all. I have power and it chimes but screen stays blank. I had it booted from my lacie firewire drive a few weeks ago and tried to run disk warrior over the drive. Thinking it could be the drive I replaced it and the ram but when I startup the machine nothing happens.....Any ideas?

Sounds like you'll need to get it serviced by your local, friendly Apple technician. I hope that isn't too far away.

Is the screen powering up at all? If not, it is unlikely to be because of a disk problem.

Yeah I was thinking that. Thought it might be the logic board but it seems to chime on startup quite happily!

The screen does not even so much as flicker. I did have another thought that it could be the inverter board that connects the screen to the logic board but the only way I can test that is to find an adapter to plug in an external display to see if that comes on.

Maybe I should just send it to apple!!!
