Imac G5 Internal Modem Issues

Hi,

I've been having some problems with the Internal Modem on my iMac G5 using X.3.5.

Sometimes when I go to connect it says it's connecting, but goes no further, if I go to disconnect, it will just say disconnecting and will do so until the mac is restarted, and won't let me connect until I restart(provided it doesn't do the same thing). There is also no sound on the modem when it does connect, even though sound is set to on. I've set the modem to use the Apple v.90 Internal modem.

I've heard of this happening to a few people, but have yet to find anything on the internet to help.
