iMac G5 Memory Configuration

I know that the Power Mac G5's have to have dual-channel configured memory. For instance, you have to buy (when purchasing RAM) 2x512 set or 2x1GB set because of the dual-core processor. However, can you put a 2x1GB set on an iMac G5? MORE IMPORTANTLY, will the iMac benefit from a dual-channel memory configuration? I've asked Apple Tech's and they just sort of... hmm, how can I say.... SUCK! LOL, j/k, they just couldn't help me

Thanks BobW, being new here, I just learned you are pretty knowledgable! Thanks soo much, that's exactly the answer I was looking for, and that's exactly what I want, just gotta save $230 for that 2x1GB Platinum OCZ Ram that's 2 CAS Latency!
