imovie 3 1st impressions?

okay it looks awesome. and the whole intergration thing is fantastic - really like it. and the liquid timeline.
it just seems a little...slow?

Hello,

I find the UI much more responsive than iMovie 2. Navigating through selection lists is less quirky. I am very happy they fixed many of the UI problems.

There are gobs more effects and sounds. The integration is very nice.

Editing the sound volumes with a track pad is a pain. The sound stretch arrows kept getting in the way.

It hasn't crashed on me yet!!!

I love the Ken Burns effect. I was able to create a 30 second visually active video from a still picture. I just wish there was an easy way to say "start the next effect where the last one left off." The thirty seconds had three separate pans across the picture.

Haven't tried importing yet. I have 80GBs of previously imported video that has been waiting for this version of iMovie.

I'm not a huge fan of the brushed metal theme, so I was a bit disappointed in the design.

But the new effects look really fun!

I need Final Cut Pro!
But besides that - iMovie3 is great!
