1. I left imovie and made my 1st movie in FCE
2. I exported my FCE movie to " Quicktime"
3. In imovie I inputed my FCE movie.
4. At the very last second, imovie hangs up. ( not responding)
5. In "David Pogues" book,iMovie HD & iDvd 5, he states that release 1-4 was restricted to 2 gb files in
the clips pane.
6. or, at the 9 minute, 28 seconds, 17 frames mark.
7. I dumped my fce file and exactly at the 9 minute mark, garbage to the very end. ( 5.9 gb file)
8. I am running release 5 and never had a problem before. Should I delete the 3 imovie pref files ?
9. Or should I delete iMovie and reinstall the software with upgrades ?
problem fixed.
Even thought imovie was not responding, the cpu was very busy. 10" after the fact, imovie loaded my file at 100% in the clips pane. Patience is a virtue....
