imovie problems with exporting a 16:9 produced film

I was editing an 16:9 produced film for two days and now imovie won`t export it right back to my sony pc100 dv camcorder.Every time a transition comes up the i movie jumps back into 4:3 format and after the transition is finnished, back into 16:9 again. If anybody knows a solution i would b very happy.thanx lollo
